Under what conditions can you see yourself firing more than 3 shots at a game animal?

Determining a rifles absolute accuracy and precision, is doing just that, it has little to do with a hunting situation, if that is the exercise. If your rifle's groups are creeping, there are several variables to figure out and >3 shot groups really help provide useful data. I see your point though.

It's also a good way to burn up a nice hunting rifle that you'll never put more than three consecutive shots through in the field.
