Kestrel 5500 and 4DOF

I am new to long range and plan on using the Hornady 4DOF app. I just picked up a Kestrel 5500, without link, for a great price from another shooter. Once I get the unit in hand I will spend some time getting familiar with it. I read that you must calibrate the pressure and altitude for proper use. I can get the altitude easily but for pressure, what is the best way to get that on site? I have a few apps on my cellphone, will that work well enough? And once that is input, is that calibration done or must you do that each time you change location?

I haven't had to calibrate my Kestrels. I'd use a GPS unit personally if you must.

You do need to true your kestrel to your gun and loads. That's for sure.
