Just wanted to let you guys know about the conversation I had with Legacy Sports who is the servicing agent for Kahles scopes here in North America. According to Emmett with Legacy the warranty on Kahles scopes which are made in Austria applies only to the original owner which brings into question display models like those sold by optical retailers like on SWFA's sample list. Also any scopes made before (jan 01,2008) won't be serviced by Legacy but will have to be shipped to Austria for repair.
This is very discouraging news since Kahles makes some of the finest rifle scopes known to man especially in low light situations. However I won't be buying one since it seems that Kahles is abandoning it's Amercian audience.........Doug
