Make it a 21 pound package for prairie dogs, so you don't have to pack it around. Rifle should be controlled round feed. Sometimes prairie dogs charge and it can be a high stress situation.

I hear they can be ferocious when provoke! You can never have to much rifle for them critters....

I think it would be great for shooting PDs while they're still in their burrows. Find a hole aim 2 feet low and voila, Bob's your uncle.
