Just got my 7mm-300 win mag reamer

stable to 1200, I have not shot it past this range.
I ran it up to 76.0 but did not chrono that load, it was showing some pressure here.
I think rfurman24 is right, I bet I'm giving up a little velocity but I have tons of retumbo and this load is very accurate.
In an 11lb rifle with no brake, the recoil isn't too bad, but I wouldn't let my wife or kids shoot this one!

Also forgot to ask in the original post. How are you guys sizing brass? I know there are custom dies, but I'm kind of on a budget at the moment. I have FL 300 win and 7mm Rem dies. Can I get away with sizing in two steps, the first with the 300 dies with the expander ball removed, and then set my 7mm Rem dies to where they just barely bump the shoulder? Then use a 7mm Rem seating die to seat the bullets?

I use Redding 300 bushing dies and step down in two steps then just use the 300 wm competition seater.

I'm sizing to .325, .315, then to .307, expanding up to about .311, turning the necks, down to .307 again, annealing and finally expanding up to tension. Quite the process but it's producing pretty concentric rounds. Same dies as Rfurman.

I neck down with a .323 bushing(was on sale) then to .311 then seat and shoot. With Norma or Nosler brass this gives me a loaded round of .313. My reamer was designed for this with a .316 neck. I get single digit sd and .001 or under runout. Those extra steps are just mental masterbation as far as I am concerned.

Looking at reamer prints I think you will be ok for the time being.

Mines a straight 7-300 no fire-form no neck turn. I've taken the 180 VLD up to 3150 with H1000 but at 3050 fps I might die with all my brass. Kills the hell out beavers, bears, deer and feral goats.

Something I've found remarkable is that after 1200 rounds the throat hasn't budged one bit. I don't know if that's due to the 1-8" Hart barrel or clean living, but how can you not like that?

The throat is a little short for 180 VLD's, not turning the neck for consistency of thickness, but to cut into the shoulder a bit to keep the donut at bay. Same with expanding out before turning, I want that extra thickness taken off.

I am well aware of the reasons you would. I am telling you they have not affected my two barrels and last I knew Broz did not turn the ones he had. I shot VLDs in mine in which they were seated past the "donut" area with zero problems. Yes I would absolutely agree if you encountered a pressure problem or poor es and sd then you could try turning the donut out but I never saw such problems.

I shoot a Nathen Faster 2nd generation reamer (David Kiff) 300wm 7mm. The only difference between that reamer and the latest Gen 3 reamer from Dave Manson is the amount of free bore. I shoot a 1 in 9 #6 krieger barrel 26". Load is 77.5 grs H-1000 and Berger 168 gr VLD velocity 3245. Can push it harder but 3225 -3245 seems to be the sweet spot for my rifle. My friend has the same chamber in his rifle and he shoots 175 gr ELDX 3130 is his sweet spot. Powder used in his rifle is 75.5 grs H1000. Terminal ballistics research Nathen Foster's web page has a ton of info on that round. That's my 300-7mm pictured.

I would assume you mean 7-300? A 300-7mm would indicate a 308 bullet in a 7mm case.

Ya its called a 7MM Practical. Thats what Nathen Calls his round. Not used to calling it a 300-7mm or 7mm 300 what ever. To me its a 7mm Practical!!
