LOL. People look at my can and wonder what happened to it. I say well it's not a safe queen buddy. Plus I get the battle worn and distress paint look without the expensive cerakote process. Which I've also done btw. Ha HaNah, that's just how you get that high-speed operator patina on it.
Yes. ha ha. Well mine rides in a saddle scabbard, in eberlestock scabbard back pack, and gets used weekly. Plus I have to clean the dang thing and use a sonic cleaner which destroyed the paint too. It's not the use, its the abuse.

Gemtech may have a manual on that. It's serviceable you'll break it down and soak with cleaner etc. Non serviceable is going to be a plug one and soak. CLR, foaming cleaner, solvent etc.

Just knuckle up and get the $85 sonic cleaner from Harbor Freight, it's something I use all the time. Gun parts, brass cases, car parts, hand tools, old pocket change, wife's earrings, my class ring, dentures, it's great for all of them. Maybe don't mix and match the wife's jewelry with the suppressor at the same time, but it's a dead useful tool.
True, problem is I'm a low speed, high drag hunter that likes to keep things looking nice because im a nerd like that haha. I do love that the cerakote on my go-to predator rifle is starting to wear off on the high spots. See now the direction I go is I don't give a crap about my can but I use a neoprene scope cover. My suppressor can easily be cerakoted and is titanium so it's tough, unlike my scope which can be damaged pretty easy.
If it's titanium or stainless, take to apart and soak it in CLR and rinse.
