I voted for McCain also. I don't care what color his skin is, I know that he is pro 2nd Amendment and he's a frigging war hero. Again, call me shallow but that's enough for me. I don't believe Hitler was right wing. I think he was a extreme leftist. He wanted to control the public, not give them freedom through less Government intervention. After all didn't he want national gun control for a kinder gentler nation? Didn't he use environmental issues in order to revoke rights of freedom from the citizens?

I don't mind people having differing opinions on U.S. politics. It's what makes us great. I have never been able to understand how these past and present communist/socialist thugs get labeled as right wing. Their tactics and politics have never reminded me of right wing. They do remind me of the left wing.

You realize that the press picked McCain because he was the only candidate that they could directly tie to the Bush administration. The problem is the right side of the aisle has no fight in them. The reason is politics is a rat eating business. Republicans as a rule are creators and producers of the country. Democrats as a rule are lawyers. What do they produce???

Soros owned 156 major market newspapers through the election cycle Including the Anchorage paper that endorsed Obama. He has major assets in every other form of media as well. The reason I'm singling out Gyorgy, is the fact that he supplied most of the fuel in the way of funding.

How can you blame Soros for influencing republicans when there is plenty on conservative minded Media? Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, et al. Most republicants intentionally view conservative media.

The year before the presidential election the democrats won most elections in a landslide. Why?

The strategy of Shumer, no doubt a ultra lefty, was to use candidates that were less left and more moderate. It worked. Then McCain beats Romney and Huckaby but the republican party leadership refuses to realize that people want more moderate and less right wing candidates.

NPR, move-on, media matters, the Anneburg foundation, Acorn, all pushed to register independents. Why would far left leaning organizations push for that???. As you state most of the country feels that they are in the middle. Weather true or not that is the consensus. Independents can vote in both primaries. Let's see who would you pick. 2 candidates that are being touted as far right conservatives. Or "The Maverick" who has voted for many moderate and liberal causes over the years.
How many times did you hear Maverick. Every time the republicans move to the middle they get slaughtered. Why?? It shows that they cannot stand up for there values.
Liberals don't have that problem because look at there base.
Unions, (Use extortion and organized crime clearly the end justifies the means to there actions)
Lawyers, How can someone take responsibility for their own actions??? They would be out of a carreer!
Teachers, Where else can you work without any recourse for incompetence. Your pay scale has nothing to do with your performance?
Students, No experience in paying taxes or taking responsibility and are use to handouts rather than earning them.

Based on your criteria, what we call the left wing of the Democrat party currently, is actually right wing? Just based the example that you use of Hitler. Hitler used the Communist Manifesto as the blue print for his movement. What we currently are calling the left wing of the Democrats are by and large following the same blue print. So in reality the left wing is right wing and I am a leftist. I am very confused. This is the second time in my life that this has happened to me. When I was young, in the 80's, I used to identify my self as an environmentalist. I hunt, fish, and generally recreate in the wilderness. Until I figured out that the term environmentalist was hijacked by an ideology that is against free markets and capitalism. Generally against prosperity.

So I can only assume that I am not alone here. There are a whole bunch of us that no longer know what we are, ideologically speaking. So, Roll-Yur-Own, help me out here. How are we supposed to identify here? Perhaps you can tell us what you are, and how you keep it straight. Or are you one of those people that are sooo smart that you have no position on anything? Because really smart people are above taking sides on an issue. Do you just take the high road and look down at the stupid people who form opinions on what is right and wrong? Or do you just wait to see which side has the most people, and go that way?
