It's a whiskey tasting kinda of night ...

Lots of good looking drinks out there, im partial to the Irish Whiskey, but won't deny any good scotch or whiskey.

Well, she who must be obeyed just had me hauling the furniture she spent the equivalent of 2 custom builds and a Nightforce backorder on, so I figured I deserved 3 fingers of Basil Hayden. My family are Bourbon drinkers. BH is a little above my pay grade but every once in a while, I splurge. Usually it's Wellers or Buffalo Trace. Sometimes Breckinridge. Maybe someday, I'll transition to Scotch. They say it's an acquired taste but somebody bought me some once, and I seemed to have acquired my way through a fifth of it with a couple of my buddies in rather short order. Still prefer the bourbon for now, I guess. Maybe I'll try Bookers next.

Right or wrong, my tastes vary widely from as simple as crown and sprite (among those that like that kind of coolaid) to Pendleton and Knob Creek to Whistle Pig (the less-expensive ones) and Hayden Basil Rye. Almost always on the rocks.

Everything you mentioned is great. I love BH, but at ~$40/bottle it's a little bit on the high side for me, too. It really is awesome though. Elijah Craig had been my go to in the $25-$30 range.

I like Knob Creek Rye better than their standard 100 proof Bourbon. If you haven't tired it, I would say it's definitely worth a shot.
