Ha! .277/.308 is by far more efficient. Anything .270 is better.
We'll all agree it's not a .30-378I'm sure a 30BR is the most efficient 30cal from a 20" barrel.
But efficient to me could mean something totally different than you.
Mine is an old husqvarna M98 I won on auction for 205 bucks Canadian! Feel like I cheated.Calvin, I have two 8mm Mausers both WWII guns. One I made into a manlicker, 22" barrel. The other is a 21" Scout set up.
Both of the above shoot very well at 200 yards...bores not perfect.
