Is barrel life for 338-378 longer with heavier bullets

I have heard this before about large over bore calibers .I try to only use 250 grain or heavier bullets in my 338-378 weatherby .I Also use powders that use less powder than others 109 grains of reloaded 25 vs 125 grains of h870 .i heard the slower velocity of the 250 grain ..bullets vs higher velocity of 200 grain bullets that use more powder is easier on the barrels .I also do the same in my 264 win mag shooting 155 grain bulkets .I have not seen much written about this .

My general thought on barrel life is this:
Slower powders generate a longer pressure curve - less heat- better life.
Velocities under 3K help barrel life a lot. Look at the life of a 308 vs 257 bee.
Double base powders add to erosion (rl22....cough)
Bullet construction likely plays more of a role in barrel wear than weight.
