Is a hotdog a sandwich? Seriously!

I am now very confused. I normally don't care for hotdogs much. If I do decide to eat one I wrap it in a single piece of "light bread". Or regular old sandwich bread for those that aren't familiar with the term. We do jalapeño and cheese sausage in the duck blind the same way. What am I supposed to call these weiner and one slice of light bread combos?

This is the serious question before us today. Do we keep refuring to the many sausagiodal meats which are either partially or fully enclosed in some type of bread product as their own name or do we in an orderly fashion provide a framework or structure by which to define and categorize these somewhat individual cultural foods that have been incorperatedand in our meltingpot american heritage.

It is time to stand up to the ever changing winds of public sentiment and stand form on the principals of bologna nomenclature! How is with me? Who will rise up against the soft suthsayers of sausage and take a stand for what is true and right?

Yes, I'm with you. But in todays world we have to be very careful not to offend these sausage/bologna/bread subsets by classifying them as something they may or may not identify with lest they be "woke".
