Introducing the Absolute Hammer

yes I have tried them in a standard 7-08 of my sons they shot very well he is using varget with them I do not recall velocity

59.5 put me at 3511 60 was stiff bolt lift
I am thinking that may be as high as it gets. How are you doing on your case capacity. Since you found pressure there you might try a bit slower powder that you can get good density. Something like superformance or Ramshot Hunter.

6.5 Creedmoor - 123 AH, 1:7 26" MGM, 2X Norma, coal 2.8705", Fed 210M, Reloder 16
43.0: 2,903
43.5: 2,970
44.0: 3,005
44.5: 3,041 (compressed)

Accuracy, ES and SD we're outstanding. i'm getting 2,977 with 43.5 RL16 and 130 Berger AR hybrid so grain for grain, I'm not getting any velocity increase with the lighter 123 AH. I will be shooting the above loads with a crimp to see if there is a difference.

I just stuffed 45gr of R16 into lapua brass just to see what if get. I'm getting the same as you with the 130 ar hybrids. I guess I might as well pull it now. Thanks! Waiting on some shooters world precision to test.

I'm wondering if a faster powder is needed. I'm getting 3033 fps with an ES of 4 with the 124 gr HH and RL16, so no reason to switch to the 123 AH.
Maybe RL15 or 8208XBR may get it up over 3100 fps.

Accuracy has been excellent an on par with the Berger, so absent a significant velocity boost, I cannot justify paying $0.60 more per bullet. Thst said, I'm not throwing in the towel. I will be running the AR hybrid p and the AH side by side with Superformance this afternoon.

I'm with Doug Duey, I think you need a faster powder 8208XBR is good stuff

If you notice, people with larger capacity cases such as 280 AI are needing to go to a faster powder such as H4350 or RL16 to get the higher velocities. The 6.5 creedmoor normally gets fed H4350 or RL16 for regular cup and core bullets of equal weight so you are going to have to try powders like Varget or IMR 8208XBR to see if the velocity is there in the creedmoor.
