Introducing the Absolute Hammer

You got 3,201 fps with the AH and 56.55 gr R23. Curious what your typical velocity with the HH was with this same charge. Similar?

Thx

3256 - 3322 with the HH. Here what I have in my spreadsheet. I have more in my book but this are the relevant ones.

56.4 3249 61 deg.
56.55 3256 36 deg., 8 shots, SD11, ES26
56.55 3322 81 deg., .25", 4 shots, SD6.9, ES15 (this was high pressure although it produced the attached pic)
56.7 3247 61 deg.

62 gr of rl22 is just slightly compressed. 3387 average 12 sd
5/8 inch group
I'm obviously on the wrong powder still because this velocity is slow.

What was your velocity with the Hammer Hunter? Your SAUM case is basically the same as my Sherman Short and I got about 110 fps faster from a high pressure HH load to a low pressure AH load. Talking with Steve it seems that's about right.

Haven't shot any other hammers in it. Been shooting 140 hybrids and 147eldm and they go right at 3200 with rl26.

Went out today to get some testing done with the .264 123gr AH and here are the results:
COAL was 3.042 and could have brought it out to 3.099. Used H100 Hybrid V. 6.5x284
26 inch barrel, CCI250 primers, new LAPUA brass.
51.9GR - 3162FPS
52.2GR - 3178FPS SD7 ES14
52.5GR - 3184FPS
52.8GR - 3239FPS SD11 ES22
53.1GR - 3241FPS
53.4GR - 3253FPS
53.7GR - 3274FPS
I actually had 2 loads (2nd and 4th) which were sub moa. Not much pressure as I believe had I not
seated the bullet so far in I would have been able to achieve 3300 easily with additional powder.

Great info.
Looks like HV100 may not be fast enough. I'm wondering if Varget may be the answer.
