I've found that these need a crimp to get the powder burn consistent
There is such a large reduction in bullet contact with the case neck the extra delay is needed.

Did first work-ups today for the 6.5-06AI and Absolutes. It's being a bit finiky which surprised me. Tried 4 powders will finish tomorrow I hope.
Started with R16. Too fast. So is N550. N560 too slow. Superformance surprised me. Hit 3500 but ignition was a little erratic. Going to try CCI 250s tomorrow and see if ignition is more consistent. My regular load with 124 Hunter Hammers is 3208 or so - so it looks like I'll get the 300 fps increase

I could spin the bullet in 6.5 creed cases sized with a .292" bushing, I resized the necks with a .291 bushing and like the results.

RH is dead on, conventional Relaoding practices won't work here, this is a gotta think out side the box bullet, if you have any questions feel free to pm or call

Doing a quick search, I can't find a Lee FCD for 7 Saum. I assume the 7STW/7Rum will work? Lee sku #90869?
I'm going to get the crimp die before I start loading the AH's.

Thanks! Haven't fooled with neck crimping. We're learning with these new bullets. I assume with that change pressure will go up -so back off, test and increase powder?

I have a write up on the Lee FCD and how I use it to tune loads somewhere on here I think but if you have any questions just give me a hollar 812-264-6183 , my method works wit any bullet but its instrumental with the Hammers

And I will add that that what I have found is that it controls and adjusts "Powder Ignition Dwell Time" and while I have used this on every bullet I've shot I found it to be an Instrumental Tool with all of the Hammer's

I noticed a light film on the bullets. Do you guys clean them off or shoot them as is?
