Interesting Fact about Black Bears

I've only hunted black bear here in New Brunswick 🇨🇦 My preference would be hunting bear and turkeys over deer and moose, as their smarter IMHO. Anyway I've seen a few grizzlies up close while I was living in Alberta but never in a Hunting situation…pretty scary when you don't have any defence but a horseshoe lol. That's a whole other story that perhaps I'll start a thread on.

All I can say is their all smart so never hunt them alone and always be the fastest runner. Thats Smart!! I've been chased twice. Both times I was over the fence first. Don't worry I pulled the last guy over too. I'm not a din&k.

The Adirondacks is excellent place to hunt wilderness over the counter black bear tag. Wild country and really good population of bears. No spring season but I always saw bears while deer hunting.
I have relatives that live at Caroga lake in the Adirondacks. I don't know if I spelled correctly. I haven't been there since I was about 16 or 17. It's beautiful. We used to go to the dump at night and watch bears. Turn headlights on and off. Other cars there also. Like a drive in movie. Lol.

Yes it is! I was formerly from upstate NY by Albany and spent entire summers up in Speculator so I was around bears all the time. Caroga Lake had a bar/club back in early 70's that name escapes me right now that bunch of us use to drive there for camping and good time. Yep, the "dump" was the place for bear watching and watching idiots trying to do stupid things with bears. You know, feed them through window, petting them, Darwinism at its best!

Great smallmouth fishing in Canada Lake and its tribs too!

Seems like most any animal is smarter than most humans these days 😁
Well that is the premise of one of our major political parties, maybe both of them. That most of their constituents cannot think on their own and must rely on the government for everything. The other premise is that if its spoken by the media or a government official or government entity it must be true.

That's awesome ! We used to take the boat across the lake and go to the amusement park there. I've caught bass in the lake . We'd go at night also to other side where trees hung over the water. Always catch bass there. Funny, my aunt is there now visiting relatives. She sent me pics of the lake, etc. I remember Speculator. Never been to Canada lake. I have relatives in Gloversville.

She sent me some pics few days ago of the lake and my aunt and uncle's house there. Also some old pics of my grandpa and grandma and grandma and uncle in boats on the lake way back when. Last pic she took from top of Kane Mtn. I dont know what lake that is.
