Any stories, posters, ads or info about the AMT product line. Was trying to develop a timeline of AMT.

I had an AMT 1 time (45acp) that would do everything but shoot (fte, ftf, stovepipe). Got to be a reason i DON'T and will NOT own any 1911's and for a while not even shoot 45acp. From 2 years of 44mag the 45acp was like a horse with hobbles on, nowhere fast . G21 cured me on that cartridge as it was a great shooter! I wish the automag was a winner as having a rimless 44mag would be great! I don't think it was available at the time it bought the puny cartridge?

Well your wish has been granted! The "NEW" AMT Automag is back up and running, they spent years to redesign this pistol so that it functions 100% or at least as good as any other brand. A lot of parts were fine tuned and most won't work in the older models but who cares as long as this one works. AMT pistols were a hit and miss preposition, most of mine worked properly and those that didn't just needed more break in time.
I have a long slide 45 that just eats anything I shove in it, even wadcutters! The previous owner also ported the slide, this was done before posting was a hip thing to do. He might have tuned it before I owned it, not sure.
