Yessir. Its kind of a lil animal. Was gonna try the 180 elites but the 215 spanks it with energy and wind drift.

This thread is to improve the 308Win performance, not the 30-06. The intended audience are those with 308Wins who want to squeeze more performance out of it. In many instances it will exceed the published 30-06 loads. That's not to say the 308Win is "better" than the '06, but in many instances you can achieve significantly better performance with the right component mix. Why people can't understand this is beyond me. Some guys see this as an attack on their masculinity. Fact is virtually any cartridge's performance can be improved with top notch components.Apples to Apples need apply

Or a 150 BD2 at 3000. Or 130 TTSX at 3100.
Or a 150 BD2 at 3200 and kill stuff well beyond 600 yds. We demonstrated that both both bullets can be pushed at the same speed with LVR. 3200 can be reached safely with the BD2 from 24" or a 26" barrel. The large BC difference favors the BD2 at any distance by several hundreds of ft-lbs and fps. Gets wider the farther you go. At 950 yds under conditions one might expect to shoot an Elk the BD2 has 1780 fps and 1055 ft-fbs while the 150 HH has 1204 fps and 483 ft-lbs, less than half the energy.Or a 150 BD2 at 3000. Look at post #717The answer is simple… push a 137 Hammer Hunter to 3200, hit what you aim at and kill what you hit out to 600 yards.
So true in so many cases, I don't know why people can't get that either. I can probably get a 150gn bullet moving faster from a 300 Blackout than what's safe for a GarandThat's not to say the 308Win is "better" than the '06, but in many instances you can achieve significantly better performance with the right component mix. Agree, my bolt gun has a 18" barrel. Looking forward to testing the 125.This thread is to improve the 308Win performance, not the 30-06. Stick to the point of the thread, please. Show me the data on your 30-06 and I'll compare it to my data on the 308Win
The real point of the thread was you promoting your bullets. I will say you low classed yourself, again, with initially pretending not to be associated with Badlands bullets speaking in terms of "they" like a shill account. Your bullets might be great, but with your antics and persona on this forum, I will really need some hard evidence from you that what you're selling is legit.Stick to the point of the thread, please. I've owned both for thirty years lol.
