Ignored members quoting you?!

Doesn't take long to figure out which members are trying to be helpful, or inquisitive for the right reasons. "greater good" mentality
and the same applies to the others, the chest beaters with the misconception that they are somehow qualified to demean, override and disqualify.
Legends between their own ears, and only there.
That ignore thing may in fact get used.!

If I'm Interested in the topic of the thread I read everyone's response and then sometimes I chime in. Just because I still love talking about and discussing Guns /Rifles/ Scopes /Calibers and Hunts I sometimes ask a question for my own education in the thread, and some times I get no response to my question. The question is not meant to challenge anyone, just for me to learn more about the subject. When there is NO RESPONSE by anyone to my question, I realize I am being ignored. I assume my question is a stupid one, and no one wished to respond.
I've had this happen a few times. I usually just pm a member that was in the discussion my question and it was always answered.

Thank you. You may keep me from blowing my face off when I ask a dumb question. lol As I am new to reloading.
That's not what I'm getting at...

You need to look at this from a reloaders point of view

Many newbies, with little or nor experience at anything mechanical/technical, are getting into reloading these days...right?...That is scary.

PLEASE go read some reloading manuals FIRST, before jumping into a reloading forum.

My concern has become (and maybe others also) is that what little/limited knowledge you/others have of reloading, can turn very dangerous if I give ANY info out...any you don't understand it...PLEASE go read some books/manuals on reloading...pretty please.

The difference between a 6.5 Grendel, and a 6.5 Creedmoor...

The difference between a 7mm RUM and a 375 RUM...

What does that mean, in regards to differ powders/burn rates? How about case capacity?

I know this comes off as a little harsh...but I'm just being honest..please go read a reloading book/manual

Talk about running away, I had a classmate who lived about a 1/2 mile west of my grandparents house. He comes riding his bike by with a bag tied to the handlebars. He said he was in trouble and he was running away. Well, I said goodluck and watched him ride off and turn onto the dead end cemetery road. It was gravel and sand, his bike tracks must have been a dead give away. His dad came to the door and asked where he went, naturally I lied and said I honestly didn't know.

About a mile and a half from my grandparents house was a short bridge that crossed a drainage canal on that road. His dad found him camped out under it the following morning. He'd built a fire to ward off the goblins and cool air. When they came back by the house his dad was driving one handed and hanging out the window with belt in hand wearing out his tail.

I saw this kid at our 35th school reunion and it was the first time we acknowledged it and he said that he literally slept standing up for two days with the belt wrapped under his arms to support him and keep him from face planting. He also said that I swore I would never whip my kids, he said that lasted until the oldest was about 7 and the belt came off. He said he couldn't remember the whipping he received being as bad as the one he had to give.

I just don't get it, there are several members who have quoted, or mentioned me expecting replies that will NEVER come, yet still persist after not receiving an answer…bewildering at best.

Cheers.
In some cases they may be waiting for you to answer, but also maybe not. Like if you were to say "the 308 is the worst round ever created" and then I quote you and respond that's not true, I wouldn't necessarily be waiting for a response from you. I'm just calling out what I see as an inaccuracy

That's the point of ignoring someone…

Cheers.
Not tongue in cheek.
The point is you are ignoring them, which is fine for you, but why would the person being ignored need to know or even care. Maybe you have me on ignore, which is fine for you, but why would I care about that or need to be informed. It's not like anything I do is going to change because somebody has me on ignore.

My mother (bless her heart) would make us go to the creek and cut a willow whooping stick, long and limber!
From what's going on today with kids, I think whipping kids butt is a lost art!

When I went to School most of the teachers and especially the Vice Principle would make us go to the Wood Shop, pick out a nice piece of 1" thick Oak. Then take it to the Bandsaw, cut the shape of a paddle out, drill (9) 1/2" holes on the end to reduce wind resistance for increased velocity. Then sand it down to take the rough edges off, burn our name into the wood and put several nice coats of varnish on it. Also had a leather strap attached it would not slip out of the hand while in use and also used to hang on the wall for everyone to see.
Would like to see this done in today's classrooms. especially colleges.

Or the quoted person may simply not check on every message.
It can and does become time consuming, so sometimes stuff is simply missed. The person isn't trying to be rude or ignore you, it just happens.

Our wood shop teacher took great pride in the paddles that he made. He was a true craftsman.
Paddling has fallen out of fashion unfortunately and you can tell this by looking at the non paddled generation and how they conduct themselves.

I don't give reloading advice either unless it is after the fact. People just don't want to read a book and get free advice just enough for me to reply after the fact. As for Barbara and Nancy letting everybody know they don't understand the ignore function without understanding it takes self-desclipine to truly ignore people on an Internet forum. MM is so self-righteous he has to let us know that he sees ghosts on the forums that he created for himself and asked why. But to answer his question, which is the topic, he is just not that important. That's why.

The OP can simply go to his profile and hit the ignoring link highlighted and then screenshot it for the whole forum to see. But this isn't about ignoring anyone, this is about attracting attention.
