For me #1 . Weatherby Ultralight in 270 Win 24 inch BBL ; #2 Weatherby Mark V in .270 Weatherby Mag 26 Inch bbl. and # 3 Inter arms Mannlicher 30-06, with 20 inch bbl. Those three would cover all my Whiter-tail , Mule deer /antelope hunting. I'd really miss the others, but I could live with those three. I think!!!

3- .338 RUM in a long range precision setup
2- something in .308 or 6.5 bolt with a low power scope
1- ruger 10/22 with a iron sights and threaded barrel.

Hmmmm I guess the answer is it sort of depends on what part of the country you live in….

In the northeast the woods are thick so for deer hunting I like my 45/70.

For my occasional jaunt out west for elk hunting 7mm mag.

And finally 30/06 .

If I lived out west 264 win mag
7mm mag and 300 PRC

22-250 for varmint, 6.5CM for target and midsize game, 28 Nosler for all the rest
