If looking for a sweet Cooper....

The reason that I wouldn't buy a beauty like that is because you just can't take it out of the house. I really enjoy shooting my rifles and I'd be too afraid of dinging the stock or marring the barrel. Beautiful to hold, but I'd never shoot it.

Word on the street is that the new owners are planning on continuing to make the rifles with nice stocks. Prices probably will reflect the times…
 
Cooper makes excellent rifles! My go-to is a Model 520 in 6.5x284N for the last 15 years. It has over 1100 rounds through it, still shoots <.5MOA, and has accounted for over 60 game animals from 250-1200 yards. Flawless consistency and reliability.
