Boy it's almost like maybe there is something wrong. I drew a deer tag for unit 13 but missed elk. None of my friends or kids or hunting buddies drew anything. Very unusual!

Got lucky and drew a unit 18 deer tag. We saw a couple bucks in 13 on the public ground. Some good whitetails in there as well. Have a couple friends who drew 18 archery and rifle elk tags.

I got my sure thing Cow elk tag, it is the wife's turn on the bull tag. I missed on the dear and bear as did everyone else I know (that has checked so far). Can't complain tho as I had the late buck year before last and the bear last year...... It has bean a bad year for politics (hopefully turning the corner in nov), A flat year in economics and another year survived. In-spite of these things, I am supremely confident It is going to be another GREAT year hunting, I can't wait.

Drew a either sex elk tag for unit 1! Have a buddy that drew a cow moose for unit 2. Other than that no one else I know drew anything.

I got lucky and drew the either sex 2 week rifle hunt in unit 3

No draw on Elk and I also missed the Antelope draw. Kinda screwed up on the Antelope. Forgot to put the unlimited archery down as second choice. You used to be able to buy the archery Antelope over the counter. Oh well, guess I will take my chances in a open Elk hunt. And concentrate most of my efforts on shooting a decent Mule deer. Archery first, then rifle, then back to archery. Got to love living a state like Idaho.

Almost forgot to mention. In my free time, I am going to try and fill a couple of wolf tags.

No draw luck on anything this year. Will be out scouting elk for general seasons in areas that maybe the wolves have not really been to yet. And scout wolves also!
