This is my rig! Rem 700p 300 WinMag with an ATRS brake and a Nightforce 3.5x15x56 R2 retical! This is going to be the first hunting season for it! So i hope to have some pic's later this fall! Got quite a few tags this fall to try it out on!

This is my new rig built by kirby. 20lbs rifle plus my gear will make 35lbs total. 2 lbs heavier than last year but 700fps faster with the same bullet! This is how I plan to pack it same as last year but 34" barrel plus brake doesn't fit like my old rig did.

Wadedc - that is a BEAUTIFUL rifle! Love the dark McMillian stock w/ matte stainless metal. Every gun I've seen of Kirby's is a real work of art. I've heard they don't shoot bad either ;-) What's the caliber: 375 AM, 338 AM, 375 CT?

OK, now that I've drooled over all these rifles I'll have to figure out how to post a pic of my rig. Another great alternative to hauling around a rifle that weighs as much as a small child (other than an Eberlestock pack or drag bag) is the TAB Gear biathlon-style sling. Food for thought.

LoL Wade! You need a longer drag bag mate :D

And i think you have room for another set of rings on that scope, at least 1 more ring at least :D

My mental picture of you was 6 foot 4 feller with arms the size of a 55 gallon drum:)

Congrats to you for finishing a triathlon. Job well done !!

Remington 700 VTR in .308 Win.
Burris 4.5-14x42 TAC30 ballistic mil-dot w/sunshade
Leupold Picatinny rail
Burris XTR bases
Sinclair offset scope level
Bell & Carlson stock
now has Harris bipod on Picatinny rail
Timney trigger (set at 1 lb. 11 oz.)
Tubb Speedlock firing pin/spring
Callahan aluminum bolt shroud
waiting on a Wyatt's DBM

Shooting 168gr. A-maxes @ 2592 fps, avg. 1" group @ 350 yds., avg 2" group @ 500 yds. I don't think I'd really push it past 500 yds on a deer sized animal though, working on a 7mm Rem Mag for that.
