I primed my brass without resizing. Now what?

I have deprimed live primers that I put in backwards. I did 30-06 on my Lee press last night.

So did a search because I made the same mistake, so bringing back an older thread with the hopes that my mistake will help someone else. I have a Hornady classic press and the directions differed because I had Lee dies that decapping and sizing happen at the same time were the Hornady appeared to decap the size. So newbie mistake hope all learn from it!

Run it through your decapping die and.resize them

Remove the decapping pin and resize them and you'll be fine.

I would neck size if possible but I have decapped live primers with no issues but only a few dozen. In fact I reloaded the same primers just to see what adverse effects if any there would be.... No change shot great.

When that happens to me, I choose #2

I would use the die with decapping pin. I have done this before. You keep the primer and the case sized to it correct size.

I want make a correction to this statement. I use the die with the decapping removed to save the good primer in the casing.
