I need some guidance on setting a die up..

Two dies to have on hand that solve a lot of issues when you are buying brass fired in other rifles:

Small base sizer

Larry Willis sizer

It is rare to use a Larry Willis sizer when you have a Small Base sizer. Also, remember brass springs back after you size it, and how much it will spring back or "normalize" is anyone's guess. So, it is prudent to keep your ammo fresh when using used brass from another rifle.

In a new custom barrel, there is an old saying, "New barrel, use new brass". Prudent to use a Small base sizer on used brass in a custom chamber....spring back again can create problems later, and having a Redding body sizer on hand to size the loaded ammo that has normalized is prudent. I used to buy brass from Test firing at the Winchester, New Heaven plant and I still buy once fired brass from a Test Lab where rounds are shot through a pressure barrel.

MagnumMania's question above is of critical importance to pay attention to! OP may not be familiar with the term, "cam over".
