I need help with a .300 prc build.

Alright big guy.

Tell me how what's wrong with a 245 elite with an outstanding bc compared to a 250 gr in a 338 cal or a 300 gr Berger in 338 cal specifically 338 Lapua because I'm comparing reasonable speeds not wildcats or improved cartridges can't be a good rig to 2000 yards ? And if you go up to 245 grain hybrid, the BC is even better.
And with a long barrel, he'll have even better velocities so what's wrong with this? You just can't handle people taking the easy button and having some fun with his daughter and not wanting a small fortune into a gun ?
Why wouldn't a guy get head stamped brass that I don't have to fire form or wildcat it doesn't make sense to me What you're thinking.
The round is inconsequential, the man behind the rifle is more important. Especially with new rifles that are sub moa out of the box. Just building my daughter the best rifle I can with some of the best parts. Looking for advice.

Impact Action= Great
Bartlein Barrel=Good stuff
Trigger Tech= Good stuff
MPA Chassis= Good stuff

The only things I wouldn't do are the scope or the barrel length, but out purposes are different, so there is that.

I have three 300 PRC's and was a VERY early adopter. Pre production ammunition early. I have 1 in a 24" carbon, 26" carbon and 26" Bartlein stainless. All shoot better than me. I use different brands of brass in each to keep them separated. I run nearly identical loads in all 3, chambers all magically ended up identical...which...hallelujah for that. I run the 245 EOL and N570 in both carbons and will say this.

Whatever you choose to do with rifle parts....choose the best components. So far ADG brass is the winner in my eyes/experience. The lapua brass started out as berger factory 245 ammo and on the first firing was chamber size and had ejector marks. I tried some other Lapua brass and a middle of the road load...same thing. It just seems like the case heads are too soft. The ADG on the other hand....be careful because I think it lies when you're looking for pressure, case heads may be too tough. Either way, I hot rod that ADG and am on 8 firings without signs of failure.

When I go to a 22" barrel I will be looking to get more ADG.

Ty, not into reloading yet, but did decide to pull the trigger on the build. Impact action. Bartlein 300 prc 28" 1/8 twist. Foundation stock was what the builder recommended after we spoke. Trigger tech 2 stage. Planned scope is vortex razor 6-36x56. And a banish 30 gold.

Exactly

My finding as well. ADG has been the best, specifically in 300 prc. Fastest speeds and most firings.

Bullet central micron die is the best sizing die. Short action custom 313-314 bushing.

I'm considering either a SAC die or a Micron die with SAC bushing. I have a custom honed forster and a hornady I use. The hunting ammo goes through the Forster...the other stuff through the Hornaday. I have more respect for 4 legged critters than anything else I'm shooting at, so they get the best ammo I can produce.

Again.... specifically related to 300 prc.

The only dies I know of that are supposed to size the web enough to prevent swelling of the web.... even if you do have a aw reamer....

Is micron from bullet central. Area 419. Short action customs.

That's some real flintlock length rifle, Lol. I'm sure it will be a heck of a shooter. Foundation are quality stocks.
