I may get beaten down here

Has anyone experience as far as POI shift, change in velocity, or have to adjust the "pet" load after adding one of these. Very interested in one of these too but have zero experience with brakes.

You may experience a POI change, but your velocities should remain the same. Just adjust for POI, and you'll be good to go.

Just to pile on, ugly? Yes. That said, my buddy put one on his sporter 7mm. I (really) hated to shoot the gun before the bolt on Witt, now it is like a .308. He did same for his .300WM "just so he can spot his shots" he says, and I agree, that is certainly the best benefit in my opinion.
Im going to put one on my 308 so it only kicks like my mini 14

Good to know. POI shift shouldn't be a big deal. Just a click or so on the scope lol. I've read all about timing and whatnot and didn't know if that was something to worry about on these. Sounds like it's not an issue.

For your purposes I would say it would be appropriate. One of my co-workers put one on his father's 8mm magnum, I believe for a similar reason, as he wanted to keep his father's rifle in the same condition it was when he built it. Also, the 8mm magnum has significant recoil. He was nervous about the idea at first, but seems to be satisfied thus far.

As far as harmonics, it certainly could cause accuracy to change, better or worse, or stay the same. It will likely affect poi, maybe a little, maybe a lot. I have one rifle that when I put a magnetospeed on it, hardly changes anything. Most of them change a little, another changes poi about 10 inches at 100 yards, and all accuracy goes to hell. The entire concept of doing a ladder test is to align a proper charge node with proper barrel harmonics, so if you are nitpicky enough about your loading, you will want to run another ladder to confirm a good load as your harmonics will change. Again, could make it better, could make it worse, there is no way to know until you test it. Either way, worst case scenario is you have to adjust your load and zero.

On another rifle, putting on the YHM supressor changes POI about 10 inches vertically and 4 inches laterally, but tightens up grouping. Same can, same mount on another gun, 2" vertical 1 inch lateral. I have had small screw on muzzle devices change POI as well. Not something to sway you one way or another on your choice, just a consideration for when you switch over to having a muzzle device.

Wow thanks guys i was kind of sure someone would be very disturbed by the idea of bolting anything to a rifle barrel. I just dont want to change the original action or barrel on my dads old 308 mind you ive changed everything attached to it
Another option is to change the stock. That way you really don't change anything that is original to the rifle. But change the recoil characteristics through the design, length and buttpad of the stock.

Oh you didn't see the pictures. Good because I love to show the before and after i put an MDT Oryx stock on it 5 and 15 round mags, bipod 2.5lb timney trigger, 4x12vortex tactical scope 0 moa rail that i plan to change to a 30moa rail and a one peice ring set that has buble level and angle indicator im pretty sure im past 25 pounds and it's shooting incredibly good and teaching me about what accuracy realy is.oh and a gopro to film the shots or hunts not that its really my hunting rifle
