I’m Convinced. No Lead Bullets for Game

Yes! If people only knew what was around them everyday, And the garbage in our food! You are 100 percent correct.
I agree it's pretty funny. Like I was accused of deflecting. But if you look at Iowa, which is one of the midwest states I grew up in and am quite fond of, it has one of the highest rate of cancer due to pesticides in the ground water.

Geez! How many of us old timers have bitten into and even swallowed lead shot in various birds and small game? After hundreds of medium and large game killed and then eaten using lead core and cast bullets, I have no concerns. Also, I've cast lead alloy bullets for nearly 60 years, and as long as one follows safe practices, its been no issue.

Edit: At my age, I'm more worried about slipping in the shower.
Silly argument. I worry about the same thing "At my age, I'm more worried about slipping in the shower." Like Gilda Radner always said. "It's always something." with the alarmists in the world!

Barnes released their lead free X bullet in 1989. California banned lead ammo in 1991. The two subjects are separate issues in my opinion. The aspect that gets overshadowed from the lead ban debate is the advantages of solid hunting bullets performing more consistently. Barnes and other mono bullet companies arent making them to appease California, they make them because they are performing better. Pick the bullet you think works best for you, but don't let someone discourage you from picking what you think is the best because of a separate issue.

I didn't think Cali banned lead till much later. But then I don't keep up with Cali laws. Never been there. But those years are kind of suspect to me. Now that you showed me. lol

I would think they would be great for goose.
They kill great, it is the $125 a box price tag that makes them not great for waterfowl. The limit here is 58 geese, in the right combination of Snows, Specks, Canadas etc. plus 8 ducks, per day. That would be $330 a day in ammo if you never miss.;)
