Howa mini actions?

These Howa Mini's are getting some very nice aftermarket support.
Here's some Howa Mini intel that I've gathered :

I bought a barreled action from Brownell's in 6ARC and 22" sporter barrel.
At the time, I didn't know about the $125 off March coupon.
It's $125 off of $500 in FFL items.

Trigger
I was amazed that my stock HACT trigger was breaking cleanly at 2lbs (1lb-14oz)
The first stage is very soft and then once at the wall it acts like a single stage.
If I was a two-stage hater, I would love this trigger.
The 3 position safety is stiff, hopefully it eases up with use.
Oregunsmithing (OGS) offers a modified Timney for the Mini

Bottom Metal
The stock polymer is not great.....one would want to back way off action screw torque to avoid cracking the "bottom metal".
As previously mentioned, OGS and D.I.P. make replacement bottom metals.
Jefferson Outdoor makes the best bottom metal for the Mini, IMO.
J.O. offers a hinged BDL type, a blind ADL type and they are the only one AFAIK that offers a bottom metal that allows the use of CZ magazines.
I have a BDL version inbound.
J.O. is a small one man shop in NoCal and you sometimes have to wait for his "batches" to get done and ready to ship.

Stocks
The only synthetic stocks for the Mini that I know of are :
Stocky's carbon fiber - 2nd's are available at a discount
OGS - these may be the nicest ones - love his Oregon Brown color option
Bell & Carlson - these are available for sporter contour and HB contour
I bought a sporter, Dark Gray/Black Web and it was a drop-in fit.

My Mini will be about $1000US when done.
And that's not too far off of retail for the carbon-stocked Mini.
These are reported to be fitted with painted Stockys carbon fiber stocks from the factory.

Are those milled or 3D printed? The finish looks a little rough.

Milled, it has a pattern milled on the bottom. Pretty dusty from shop sanding.

Does anybody know how much the mini barreled action in Grendal weighs? There is no weight shown in Brownells. Also were can you get Grendal brass?

I'd guess 3lbs - 10oz using data from Grendel Forum.

Make sure you want a Grendel.
If you were my brother, I'd recommend 6mmARC because I think it's a superior cartridge.

Jard is great, but the bottom metal had to be opened up to accommodate. Easy enough with a file.

I necked mine down to 6mm Grendel (243 LBC) which is kinda the "other" ARC, but if I were going to use it for deer size game under 400 or so yards I think I'd stay with 6.5. YMMV

I also love my heavy-barrelled Grendel.

When I first got it... back when they originally came out without the threaded barrel...it shot good but not great.
Worked different loads and found that the tightest groups (2 moa) with any bullet was at the low end of the load chart.
Drug an index card under the barrel and it went 3 inches and grip stopped in the factory Hogue.
Pulled out the dowell and 200 grit along with the dremel and got it floated all the way to the lug.
To say it helped is an understatement!
Makes small clusters (<1moa) with most loads and one hole clovers with the best.
Killed some good stuff with it since!
Give it a try if it won't group like you'd like and don't want to spend on a stock or chassis!

I still have a Howa Mini 6.5 Grendel that I haven't done anything with since purchasing when they first came out. I need to get off my duff and start working with these.

I don't believe so--you need to find one that specifically calls out fitting a Howa Mini.

Their website just shows "Howa 1500" when there are 3 Howa action sizes.

Don't forget the inbetweener that they're using on the Superlite...I think it's a scaled down short action.

It won't.
You'd need a specific "howa mini" stock or chassis.
Orynx is a popular one and I saw Stocky's now has ultralight carbon stocks along with a couple of others.

I didn't research chassis systems but I know MDT makes a chassis for the Howa Mini
