How to lock the lock ring??

I have mine on a turret press without any issues. I have a couple of their wrenches, though.

I have no problem with Hornady products. I buy what I need for my intended purpose(s) from various companies (Lee, Lyman, RCBS, Redding, FA, etc.). LOL!

Replace the brass set screws with steel, just be mindful of possible damage to the die threads if you tighten too tight.

I have never been impressed with Hornady dies. My preferences are RCBS, Bonanza/Forster, Redding.

But, it is the RCBS dies that have the poor lock rings that I am complaining about. Other than that, they are great. So I'll place Hornady lock rings on my RCBS dies.

I will admit I am impressed this thing still has legs at three pages Who knew lock rings inspired such passions.

I'm wondering how to securely lock the lock rings on my RCBS dies?? It's frustrating when the lock ring hasn't held its position when I reinsert my RCBS FL sizing die in my press. My rings have brass hex head set screws, and I tighten them as tight as possible with the hex wrench provided. I don't even know if blue Loctite would help.

Get the Hornady lock rings.
