How to Clean, Save and Preserve Bear Claws

never did get any good info for the claws
so we ended up cutting off as much flesh as we could
then used a very fine wheel a dremel to polish them up.
the skull I decided I did not have time to mess with it(I wanted to shoot all the time)
took it down to the local taxidermy guy and had him do it turned out great
My duaghter will take it with her to her dorm room at collage this fall.
going to be differant lossing my hunting buddy

I was going to mention using a wire wheel on a bench grinder to get the skin off of the claws. That worked well for me.

I let them dry and clean on grinder and wire wheel, I also have a foredom for delicate work, do same on Ivories.I put a bunch in my hunting hat, that you see in my picts, I also have a 6pt. hat where I had them capped in silver along with large cat dew claws. After I peroxide I try to hang in sun for a bit, done almost all my skulls
