How often do you clean your suppressor?

Clean the 22 can every few hundred rounds. The 4 30 cal are different story . The banish 30 I've had apart to clean 3 times over probably 6 or 7 hundred rds . The 3 other are sealed two harvester evo and a omega 300 . Will probably do them in a few hundred . The carbon build over a few hundred rds is alot. As evident when I pulled the banish apart . It's carbon locked right now so I need to run it some and get it hot and see if I can get it apart again .

I've found a strap wrench or two can be really handy in disassembling your cans

On my two .22 cans I clean them about every 500 rounds.

The centerfire cans never get cleaned. If I notice some carbon coming out of them when I take them off, I just rap them on my bench a few times and wipe up what comes out.
I have a Specwar that I got back in 2012 that has a couple thousand 223 and 300BO rounds through it. It hasn't been cleaned at all and is only about an ounce heavier than it was when I got it.

Yep did that the first time it stuck . It's got anti seaze on the threads and is still tighter than a mother ******. Going to run some kriol down the threads and run it on the ar for a mag dump to get it warm then give it a go.

I've gotten in the habit of making sure my threads are loose after each firing session (while it's still warm). I find that if I let it sit and cool after a long session that it will lock up tight like that.

I clean my Banish 30 depending on how much .22LR I have run through it. Now that I have a dedicated .22LR can, it doesn't get cleaned nearly as often as the high power loads don't build up near as much.

silencer says for cans that a locked to clamp it in a padded vise and use strap wrenches to unscrew the smaller section or a padded set of channel lock pliers or send it to them and they will take it apart, but I don't know if they will clean it. think I will ask them about that.

Manufacturer said mine are not needed to be cleaned. So haven't.

I've got a Silencer Central 30 cal and a .22 cal suppressor. I've cleaned them both. The .22 had a couple hundred rounds through it and was filthy and difficult to disassemble. The 30 cal had a few dozen rounds through it and was very easy to disassemble and clean. My recommendation would be to clean them frequently at least so you can disassemble them so you can clean them. I'm relatively certain that a large crud buildup in the suppressor, along with increasing its weight, would impact its sound attenuation performance as well as your firearm's accuracy, though I've not conducted any tests myself. I do believe a reduced gas flow path/area due to lead/material and burned powder/residue buildup would have to effect its performance. I wonder if anyone out there has conducted any scientific tests on suppressors and monitored weight buildup and technical performance of the suppressor and firearm accuracy, etc.

I've cleaned my .22 and .45 suppressors but have never cleaned my .30 suppressors. The peroxide and vinger trick worked well for these. I use one of the .30 suppressors for my .224 Valkyrie and switch it to a .30 cal firearms occasionally to try and minimize build up.
If my recollection is correct, TBAC may have changed their advice a little over the years regarding cleaning centerfire suppressors from when I got my first one. Here is the link for anyone interested.
