How often do you clean your hunting rifle

Every 100rds or so unless the groups wander before then. But with only hunting and reconfirming zero that don't happen for years honestly in most hunting rifles

I clean all of my rifles after every session. Doesn't matter if they are target or hunting rifles. That way I know that when I pull the trigger on the first shot, it is consistent every time. Works for me, YMMV.

Personally because I use Sharp Shoot-R Wipe-Out foaming bore cleaner with Accelerator (for 10-12 years now) and I let my barrels soak over night then patch clean in the AM, I clean my hunting rifles after every range outing unless I am going hunting soon then I leave them be until after season is over. Once season is over use Wipe-Out/FBC + Accelerator do several over night soakings then oil bore and put away till next range session. Which could be 4 or 5 months or a few weeks all depends on what I feel like shooting. I don't really let any of my rifles sit all that long between shooting them save for my magnum calibers due to shorter barrel life.
