I have not, however, I would say that Hot glue, from a mechanical stand point would be a poor choice. Epoxy is rigid when cured as is lead. Hot glue is still very malleable. You wouldn't have even pressures around the circumference and you'd have displacement of material anywhere the was a slight angular load. You take that and add the rubbery, squeegee like nature of hot glue, versus the smooth nature of epoxy or lead and you are likely going to get a kind of chatter or shudder during the lap.
lead sheds a bit and is soft, too, right. epoxy is very rigid. I will test if no one else has real world experience. thanks
also, what pressures? glue should be firm enough to move the compound thru the barrel and keep it's shape

We never use dead soft lead for lapping. Often, I use the same mix I use for hard cast bullets. Bh 18-22 vs BH5-6
I think hot glue will be too soft, at least for my liking.
