Hornady Unique Case Lube

I actually prefer Unique over Imperial or OneShot.

This is just a suggestion but here is my technique for FL sizing, I scoop a small amount with my fingers and spread it onto a cheap computer mouse pad then roll several cases on their sides back and forth. This gets the body of the cases thorough covered with little or no lube on the shoulders.

This method ensures all the cases are lubed consistently without accumulating lube in the shoulder area of the die (no dented shoulders).

for FL sizing all I use is unique. I mostly shoot 7RM and have had no issues with unique, as a matter of fact my cases seem to go in and out of the die smoother using unique. But, neck sizing I donot lube at all.
For a hint I always decap first using a decaping die (Lee), then clean (SS wet tumble), before I size. I never size an unclean case

Unique is great stuff and all I use but it is a tad softer than imperial making it easier to apply too much wich will eventually cause a build up in the die. I apply it then wipe my fingers and rub off any excess and I try not to get it on the shoulder at all. With this method I have never had a build up in my die

I have stuck cases with unique and one shot but more so with the one shot. I have found that with either lube it works best if I thoroughly clean the die prior to using it

Besides being a very good case lube you can rub it on your leather boots to water proof them.
