It was pretty cool. He went about 10 feet with hardly a drop and then the next 15 feet all his blood just fell out in thick red strip. Pretty amazing how hollow and 'clean' the wound channel was.

If you're not worried about pelts, I'd shoot the smallest Shock Hammer as fast as you can push it.

Can you help me understand what a "shock hammer" is and why you reccomend it? Thank you

The shock hammer bullets are Hammer bullets that are a general use hunting bullet designed for 400 yards and under with a larger opening in the hollow point for better expansion . They weren't too worried with a high BC but with performance inside of the animal and knock down power being delivered to the animal .

Awhile back I was wondering about some 30 caliber bullets that were like the 408 chetack or the 416 barrett bullets as they are amazing bullets . A guy on here told me to check out the hammer line of bullets while they can't be configured exactly like the other two mentioned bullets they are close enough for me . I sure wish they had been around several years ago like 40 or 50 years ago .

They really are a very good bullet. So glad they're not sold out all of the time. Will be good to see how they work on coyotes at longer distances. Got some work to do to get them ready. Missed the season but will be ready for this next one

I have seen a lot worse and sewn up worse damage .

.257 Bee 90g absolute hammer @ 3900 fps 125yds almost turned 1 coyote into 2. Could have been a bad hit i really dont care either way. Love the bullet in this gun.
