Surely that is a typo. A 220-240gr projectile going 3300fps is not possible from a 6.5PRC. Are you asking about the 124gr projectiles?Has anyone shot an elk using 6.5prc with 220-240gr?
I've got a PRC I am looking to use for deer and back up gun for elk.
If I can get a 224 grain going 3300 it's got more speed and energy then my current 156gr bullets. Which would means it's a superb bullet right?

I would not personally hesitate to take an elk with the 6.5 124HH as long as you limit yourself to a reasonable range.Correct. Typo.
Meant 124

I killed an elk this past season with a 110gr solid copper projectile going 3500fps. Solid copper bullet going stupid fast can kill very effectively. You still have to do your part and put the bullet in the right spot, which should apply no matter what projectile you are using....

Hey Brother does your user name have anything to do with New Mexico?I know the Hammers are pricey but, go out and do that a couple more times, then you can be sure.
