Dddaaaammmnn. Again!
Good for you!
Good for you!
I never look at energy numbers, I concentrate on impact velocity but here is the StrelokPro calculation and why I don't put much faith in energy numbersWhat kind of energy is that lightning bolt kicking of at that distance?
ShoNuff, The FPS@ 400 is the same as the 175 SMK in the 308 that we shot in the military at the muzzleSo basically your velocity at 400 yards is like shooting an animal with a 30-30 pressed against the ribs. I bet it'll do the job.
I just ordered the 124s, looks like Steve will be getting an order for 110s later today....
That's freaking screaming, awesomeJust went out and ran the 120 Hammers in the 7 Max. Moved the Coal down to 2.95, everything else the same as the post above,
H4831SC. Started out with a slightly compressed load at 72.0 grains, three rounds averaged 3619 FPS, SD of 9.2. No signs of pressure.
Moved on to H4350. Started out at 63.0 grains for 3,450 FPS, moved up a grain at a time to find pressure. 67.0 was 3,624 FPS, no pressure. 68.0 was 3,706 with a stiff bolt and ejector mark. 69.0 was 3,732 FPS and the primer blew out.
Thanks for setting the pace. (and all the help)That's freaking screaming, awesome

I tested 5 loadings with H4350 this morning. Largest group was .421" and all had single digit ES. Just what we've all come to expect from Hammer bullets.
