Hammer bullets

Anyone using hammer bullets for deer? Just curious if they are to tough for whitetail?

143 grain hammer killed my deer dead last year. I load all my hunting rifles with hammers.

Them should work on Alabama deer also.

I had a bad experience with Barnes solid copper bullets penciling on deer. That's the reason I'm a little nervous about solids.
