FWIW there's beYOUtiful Win model 70 Featherweight, with schnable forend and fluer de lis checkering on G-Broker right now in 7mm-08!
I remember a girlfriend of mine, who had zero issue shooting a 26" barreled 7 Mag, but hated shooting a 21" .243. "Recoil" wasn't the issue, it was the "blast" that she hated.
Upon further thought you must get the 6.5 Swede. No brake. Not much kick at all. Over a century of killing everything. Not hipster or hype.I dont care that people have a problem with it.
6.5 creed makes a ton of sense. Or 260 rem. Or if youre feeling classy and respectable a 6.5x55 Swede haha.
.25-06. 257 Roberts is a sweet little round too.
You know, women just don't appreciate lyrics the way us men doYeah…. "7 Mag for my Ole' Nag", doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
Yep…can't go wrong with this one.Wby Camilla 6.5 Creed... Cheers
Yep, noise and muzzle blast are a no fly, in fact if you are not hunting the .223 is a good place to start, with a longer barrel and heavier bullets,, I would almost guarantee she's goin g to be impressed,,, so .243 or 6 mm, .260 Rem are all in the ball park.. with a 22 to 24" barrel.. and not to nock Savage,, but Tikka or something similar... a lot of it is feel, and something physically smaller will fit her better,, and the pink will finish off the sale...I remember a girlfriend of mine, who had zero issue shooting a 26" barreled 7 Mag, but hated shooting a 21" .243. "Recoil" wasn't the issue, it was the "blast" that she hated.
All my guns belong to my wife. If I want a new one I just build it and tell her it is hers. I think she knows its a scam but she lets me get away with it. Any of the regular 6.5s will get her way out there without the stout recoil of a magnum. Creed, .260 or x55 all are pretty much same performance. The high bc will have her smacking stuff way out there even with some wind. They kill good too. 6.5 will take anything in the 48.
