I do like those hornady red tips and I've got an 8lber of h1000. I'm possibly gonna try the 270 eld-x. But I may go 285 off the top. Killed my first elk with a 285 A max

Probably shouldn't throw this out but...91.5 gr.H1000.... 285 bullet.... should save you some time.

Oddly enough I believe ive seen that same load posted on a fee occasions. That must be the 44 grains of varget ans 175 SMK of the lapua world

In other words if that don't shoot its probably your gun not the load that's screwed up

Published G1 B.C on the 285 eld match is .829

Here's the first 3rd group out of the new rifle. It came with some factory ammo so I did a little break in shoot one and clean for 3 shots and then I shot that group at 100yards. Shot 5 more groups with 250 bergers and h4831sc which had 2 promising groups in it. Looks like the rifle will be a shooter. Also fired a couple3 shot groups at 400yds one had some horizontal dispersion which was totally me but it was still under moa and one that was probably .75 moa or a little smaller. Needless to say I am not disappointed with the direction this rifle is going
