Bull was facing downhill and quartering so he was close to 45° angle, aimed where neck meets shoulder, touched one off and his front end lifted and he was probably dead before he started coming back down, quickest one I've ever had die I think

Should have known better used to own ground in klickitat county Washington and lots of folks referred to the elk as Roosevelt but most sure looked Rocky Mountain. Yours great looking beast!
