GOA NRA & the Savage Nation

On yesterday's edition of The Savage Nation, Michael Savage was talking about the incidents that occurred this weekend. He was discussing all manner of solutions. Both the NRA and GOA were invited as guests to show up and discredit the gun control solutions being circulated in the wider media. Neither GOA or the NRA accepted the offer.

Michael Savage has a very large audience, some say he was instrumental in the 2014 and 2016 elections. Why didn't any of them show up? It would have been a perfect opportunity to influence a large and often independent audience, and maybe reduce these calls for "action".

I suspect neither organization appeared because the situation is still somewhat fluid. Emotions are high. Things might be said that will not stand-up too well a week from now, or a month from now. Best tactic is to remain silent and let things settle down. Once they do, that will be the time to make statements that will become part of the public record surrounding these events.
