Forming 7mm STW Brass

Back in the day, I used to shoot USPSA with Layne Simpson and I told Layne at a match one time, thanks for costing me so much money because of the STW story. It is a powerhouse for sure. I went the Kenny Jarrett route on my first STW and then I met the great Dave Tooley. Dave built me one on the old Remington 78 action. Man that rifle would shoot. The velocity was unbelievable. My 120's were only 3720 and my 140's were running 3560. Nothing was safe with that rifle. The STW was a awesome round.

Imr 7828 long cut and R#22 with fed 215s both produced incredible velocity and groups with the 120s, about the size of a pencil eraser. 120g Barnes Tsx and TTSX also shot the same loads jumping .050 from the lands. Best accuracy is right on the ragged edge of max pressure. Don't expect to get a lot of firings out of Rem brass. Our barrels are 25.5", which started life as new Rem 7 Mag barrels in SS sendero's.

Hopefully we will get to see what the log pole I got from you will do 😂
