FYI - I have been running NordVPN and Norton 360 last few years to just to combat these piece of garbage. You really need to up your defenses to protect yourself. Daily PC scrubs, firewall to prevent unknown hot links, movies, gif's etc from "friends" that are not data security savvy or just careless. Encrypt your wireless router, no hot spots. External backup to restore if oh crap happens. You just cannot slip up once. Wandering around on the internet use to be fun but now I feel like concealed carry is necessary on internet!
