You are on the right track. I made that mistake and let the smith decide to many things on my first one. Chassis vs standard is a preference. I have both. My very long range rigs I use chassis my mid range hunting stuff is usually standard thumbhole. Like the eh5.
Also put a lot of thought into the twist of barrel. I would do at least a 1-9 if it were mine. Simply because as technology moves forward you seem to need more twist. For years a 10 twist 30 was fine for even the heaviest. Now with some of the custom monos you need 8-9 twist. And you can still shoot 200gr cup core with a 9 twist.
Remember build what you want not what others want it's your and somehow if you build what you want you will feel better about shooting it and should be comfortable shooting it which is what you want.
