The archery world is worse.Gun people are funny. They claim no one is coming out with things to innovate or advance technology, yet when someone does they scoff and make claims about why it won't work or why it's a terrible idea.

Hopefully your right that would be amazing but idk you know how most companies are they put in just a minimal amount of extra work to make something and charge a nominal amount extraFrom what I am hearing, they will be comparably priced with similar sets. Nothing really special with reloading steel cases in a hardened die , neck bushing or collet, for we have reloaded some steel cases for many years in 223/5.56, 7.62 and pistol.
There is a possibility there will be barrel length minimums on this cartridge for many suppressors out there. That will limit your options running a short barrel and cans with this cartridge.
I know 100% the silencer co banish backcountry will work with it because they've been in kahoots with federal designing the suppressor along side the rifle and round. And they've tested both up to 100,000 psi I can't remember rifle brand they did their testing with but the bad thing about using a steel case for ammo is when hand-loading and firing you WILL NOT see the normal pressure signs you see with other cartridges until it's too late. They've already made that statement and tested it one min all was fine and then BOOM rifle exploded and they NEVER saw case bulge or neck crack or surprisingly no primer bulgeNo, I'm not being sarcastic. I'm asking you which suppressor companies have given this cartridge a thumbs up on their suppressors? If you run a suppressor on your fancy new 7 BC with a short barrel, it blows up your suppressor, will the suppressor company warrantee their product if they haven't tested it yet?

I might be wrong, but I'm not running down to the store buying one of these with an 18" barrel and throwing my can(s) on there without ample data available.
Side note, people are blowing up the SiCo scythe ti suppressors with larger horse power cartridges despite its no cartridge/barrel limit rating.
Here is a new federal backcountry reloading video.
My feelings exactly.will watch from the side as this cartridge doesn't fill a niche I need now or in the immediate future.
I would think that that is quite worrisome.but the bad thing about using a steel case for ammo is when hand-loading and firing you WILL NOT see the normal pressure signs you see with other cartridges until it's too late. I'm sure they'll release load data and advise strictly against going above and beyond said dataI would think that that is quite worrisome.
I myself would rather load nickel plated as brass but that's just my preference of courseListening to the Shoot2Hunt podcast regarding this cartridge, they claimed they had an inside with an industry pro (I believe it was some one from RCBS), it takes 12 passes through the die to resize the case. Perhaps it wasn't shown on the video from Federal, or perhaps the podcast has bad info. Time will tell. I will watch from the side as this cartridge doesn't fill a niche I need now or in the immediate future.
Nickel plated cases in and out leave me a bit skeptical on the ease of reloading those cases. I've always found you can reload nickel plated cases, but brass is way easier to load…any day of the week.
Remember, the only one producing these cases is Federal. Good luck finding ammo or components. Especially when the rifles chambered in this cartridge start showing up on store's racks.
