Feature rich ffp midrage scope?

Burris Veracity or SWFA 3-15x are both great scopes in your budget, no experience with the Nikons. I would strongly suggest making sure you get one with a parallax/side focus as it will come in to play. Use the filters at the left of the SWFA page;

I would still recomend the Burris Veracity 2-10. I beleive you can get it cheaper then the Vortek and have a better scope to boot.
