Favorite shotgun

Neither of these shotguns are fancy, but they both shoot well and take me along with them which makes me look like a better shot than I am.

It seems like the most plain Jane shotguns are a better fit for me. The fancier they are the worse I shoot em.

I have the same issue. You would think it would make it cheaper that way but I keep spending on the expensive ones just to go back lol.

Remington, 1100 C3 twenty gauge. Beautiful wood. Always smooth to operate, gentle recoil. I've got several OU twelve gauge I shot clays with years ago. But when I'm dove shooting, it's the 1100 I reach for. It was built in1987. Doesn't look like a 33 year old gun.

They didn't make many of them. They were to expensive at the time. I bought it about 10 years ago off the original owner. Most I've ever paid for a 1100. Its got a titanium frame, that is why it's grey colored. I've taken quite a few doves with it. That's the only time it comes out of the safe.

The1100 and the 870 alone were enough to ensure Remington`s place in the pantheon of all time great shotguns.

My favorite is my Rob Roberts Waterfowl Edition SBE2, just an all around great hunting shotgun.

Winchester Model 12. Have 2 in 12 gauge that get little use because they are heavy. In younger years took them duck and goose hunting. One time tried to drowned it on the way to the duck blind. Had to disassemble and reassemble in the field. Was easy and quickly back to hunting. Great gun and wouldn't get rid of because of too many memories.

Right there with ya! Have had all the same experiences with my two. Doubles as a paddle in a pinch!
