Favorite 223 load

55 grain boat tail over 22.5 grains accurate 2200. My 600 Remington is 1/2 MOA or better with this load. Blem bulk bullets will get 1 moa or less. Good luck finding components if you reload. Also, I don't know why everyone on here always loads on the ragged edge-you and the coyotes won't know the difference. Whatever load you pick start a grain under max and work up. .01 to .03 off the lands should be fine. It's best to have a chronograph if you're going to reload otherwise you're sort of in the dark. My new yote gun is an AR In .223 WYLDE. Hope I can get this same load to shoot out of the 1:7 twist. Initial indications with junk ammo looks like it will be a shooter

In my Winchester model 70 with a 22 inch 1:12 barrel I've been running H335 at 23.5 grains and 55 grain Sierra HPBT . I ran IMR 4320 for a long time in the 80's with the 55 grain Sierras at 25.5 grains in the same rifle .
