Excellent 1000 yard steel targets?

Any welding shop near you can order in an ar400 or ar500 plate to the size you want. Get them to blast two holes in the corner for bolts. I use strips of tire flap to hold mine, cheaper and can take a few bullets before breaking unlike chain.
I'm building a new target that will have a 12-18" plate and a 6" plate above it for more of a challenge/slash a little more exciting when you whack the baby plate!

I have been using a Shootsteel 1/4" AR 500 static plate 18x24" on the last stand target hangers, the nice thing is you can really see the target move and you can hear it better than my 3/8" AR500 steel. I'm shooting it with a 338 LM and 300 gr SMK's. This was at 1200 yards and out. But I think 1000 will be fine too... I've shot other 1/4" AR 500 at 650 yards with a 6 mm and 308 with no damage to the steel also.
